From a very early age I was drawn to images captured on film. I loved pouring over old family albums, rich in detail and full of memories. Those images had a profound way of coming alive on the page. They told a story of their own. Joy and hope illuminated; mystery hidden in the shadows. I found myself immersed in the photographs, studying the light and shadows, drawn to the emotions and memories, wanting to know more.
My passion for recording moments in my own life started when I was about 8 years old. With my mom’s Instamatic in my hands, my natural penchant for photography grew. I continued to study photography in college and was especially drawn to black and white phorography.
My greatest desire is to capture life’s fleeting moments and keep them alive forever; to photograph your family exactly as they are. My work is a combination of naturally posed and a photojournalistic approach to photography. I want to tell your story. The laughter, the pouts, the quirkiness, the quiet soulful stares and all the magical stuff in between.
