And the way her parents were obviously so in love with her as well, just melted me. There is something extra special about photographing a baby of first time parents. Stephen and Gulya – It was an absolute pleasure to work with the both of you. Both of you are so incredibly sweet and kind. I am honored to have shared in this special time with you guys.  Sophia is beautiful.

She is a 2 year old from Cypress, TX with neuroblastoma. Sadly, she is in her final days. I read her mom’s blog and twitter updates throughout the day, amazed by Layla’s strength, the magnitude of love from her family, and the amazing prayers and support little Layla has gotten from all over the world. I don’t know Layla’s family personally, but my heart is heavy with saddness as if she is one of my own. My friend and fellow photographer, Christie Lacy, opened her heart and photographed Layla and her family. Christie is also offering “Parties for Layla”, with proceeds to go to Layla’s family. If any of my clients in the Houston area have friends in the Cypress area, please share with them this opportunity to help this amazing family and to work with a great photographer.
